Question 1: How do I know how much marine mobile internet data we will need?
Answer: The average iPhone user will consume between 7GB and 18GB per month. A heavy iPhone user (like my kids…) will consume 18Gb to 30Gb per month. Lots of customers start with a smaller plan and move up as needed. Examples of internet data use:

- Pandora streaming audio for 20 hours, just under 1 GB
- One High Def Movie on Netflix 4GB – 6GB
- 1 hour of Instagram or Facebook 1GB
- 1 hour of YouTube videos 2GB-5GB

Question 2: What is the difference between “Enterprise Unlimited” and “Unlimited”?
Answer: “Unlimited” is T-Mobile Service, and “Enterprise Unlimited” is AT&T Service.

Question 3: How do I know what service works best in the USA areas we will be Traveling?
Answer: There are known areas where AT&T service has better coverage than T-Mobile. We find that AT&T works better in the following: Miami, North and South Carolina, New York City, Long Island New York, Boston, and the entire state of Maine. There are other small areas where ATT is the better option, for example: Most boatyards in west Fort Lauderdale and Dania

Question 4: Why is it critical to use a local sim card, rather than a worldwide roaming sim service?
Answer: Local sims have shorter latency times, and faster downloads, both of those details give you a much better user experience.

Question 5: Is there any special equipment required to get Marine Data Solutions 4G LTE coverage in the USA?

Question 6: Will my existing 4g hardware work with Marine Data Solutions USA Sim Cards.
Answer: 4G technology is changing at a rapid pace, and the USA networks are being upgraded every day. We recommend that your equipment be no older than 2 or 3 years. We strongly recommend that you have 2 external antennas for each of our USA Sim cards. Regardless of who provides your sim cards, your equipment will need some programing so that the correct network is selected, so that your equipment will work properly.
